Each week, children will be given a reading book to take home. Their reading book will match the level that they are working on in phonics. Please read with your child every day.

Each Friday, we will send home some letter formation sheets. Please allow your child to complete these at home, sitting at a table and using a pencil. You do not need to return your completed sheets to school, but if you do want to show your teacher your super handwriting, you can snap a picture of the sheet and send over via Class Dojo!

This half-term, we will be learning all about ourselves, our families and our new friends. Children will get the opportunity to listen to and explore a range of familiar stories based on the themes of families, friendship and the world around us. Through these stories, children will develop their communication and language skills, their physical book handling skills and their basic literacy skills. The themes of these stories will also support children's personal, social and emotianl development as well as their understanding of the world.
