Each week, children will be given a reading book to take home. Their reading book will match the level that they are working on in phonics. Please read with your child every day.

Each Friday, we will send home some letter formation sheets. Please allow your child to complete these at home, sitting at a table and using a pencil. You do not need to return your completed sheets to school, but if you do want to show your teacher your super handwriting, you can snap a picture of the sheet and send over via Class Dojo!

Isolating at Home

We are currently living in unprecedented times: it is likely that Covid-19 will continue to disrupt schooling for some pupils during this academic year. With this in mind, we have planned our curriculum on daily sways which can be accessed at home. This will ensure that your child will be 'taught' the same objectives as children working in school.

Our Class Novel

This half-term, we will be reading lots of different stories by a variety of authors. These include traditional tales and seasonal favourites. We will be exploring the characters, events and settings through first-hand experiences related to the texts.
