This half-term the children will be exploring a new topic called ‘All Creatures Great and Small’.

Throughout this topic, we will learn about the different creatures we share our planet with. We will discuss where they live (in the wild, in the zoo or in our homes) and talk about different features of the habitats they live in.

We will also visit our Forest School Site and observe the wildlife we can see within our school environment. We even hope to have some special animal visitors!

Homework

Each week, children will be given a reading book to take home. Please see our ‘Reading at Home’ letter for ideas of how to support your child with their reading. They will also have a library book they have chosen. Please read with your child every day.

Reading books will be sent home on Monday for you to enjoy during the week. Please return their reading books to school on Friday.

Each Friday, we will set homework for the children and this will be posted on your child's class dojo page.

Please take photos of your child doing their homework and send it to your child's class teacher so we can celebrate all of their good work.
