United Learning acknowledges that uniform plays a valuable role in contributing to the ethos of a school and setting an appropriate tone. We ask our schools to have a uniform as it can instil pride; support positive behaviour and discipline; encourage identity with, and support for, school ethos; ensure pupils of all races and backgrounds feel welcome; protect children from social pressure to dress in a particular way; and nurture cohesion and promote good relations between different groups of pupils.
All our schools ensure that their uniform policy is fair and reasonable and that the uniform chosen is practical, comfortable, appropriate and affordable. For further details on the uniform policy at Abbey Hey, please see the document below.
School have a stock of pre-loved uniform items that parents/carers are welcome to. Please speak to Mrs Short, Clancey or the school office if you need any support with school uniform.
