It is really important that everyone (both children and adults) knows how to stay safe online. Using the Internet sensibly is something that we encourage all children to do during their time at Abbey Hey.

Skoodle

Children can use Skoodle as a safe way of learning new ICT skills and communicating with friends. It's great!
 
Hector, Lee and Kim will help children aged 5-7 to use the Internet safely.

Cybercafe
KS2 children can use the cybercafe to explore different forms of technology safely.

BBC Stay Safe

The BBC have set up this great site to help you to stay safe online. There are videos, games and interactive activities to try!

Safe Surfing with Doug

This site, from Disney, will help you to stay safe on the Internet.

Kid Rex Search Engine

The safe search engine for kids, by kids. 


Picsearch
Use this site to search for pictures. It's much safer than Google Images, but remember that you still need to take care when searching for images online.

Freefoto
A great site to find photos to use in your school projects.

FactMonster
If you need to do research about a topic, FactMonster is a good place to try.
